This router includes 6 mm and 8 mm collets — these are metric sizes. Most US router bits use a 1/4-inch (6.35 mm) shank, which does not fit the 6 mm collet. Use 6 mm or 8 mm shank router bits with this router. Verify your bit shank size before ordering.
