Why one battery matters
Every other cordless brand makes its real money selling you batteries. So do we — but the platform is built in your favor: once you own a few 20V packs, adding a tool costs you the price of the bare tool, not another battery kit. Grinders, drills, work lights and stone tools all pull from the same packs, so your whole shop runs off one charger shelf.
Every WorCraft 20V pack fits every WorCraft 20V tool. No adapters, no sub-platforms, no "compact only" tools that quietly refuse the bigger pack. The drill, the grinder, the miter saw, the work light and the shop vac all take the same battery off the same charger.
Buy the tool, not the kit
Once you own packs, bare tools become the cheap way to grow. You stop re-buying batteries that are already sitting on your charger.

Which battery should I run?
Amp-hours (Ah) measure how much energy a pack stores — how long it runs, not how hard it hits. Voltage is the same 20V across the platform, so a bigger pack buys runtime and steadier performance under sustained load, at the cost of weight.

Rule of thumb for a first kit: one 4.0Ah as your working pack, plus a second pack so one is always charging. Two 4.0Ah packs beats one 4.0Ah and one 2.0Ah for most shops — the tool never notices the swap. Add a 2.0Ah later specifically for overhead and detail work, where the weight matters more than the runtime.

Let a hot pack cool before charging
A pack pulled straight off a grinder that's been cutting for ten minutes is warm enough that the charger may pause or refuse it. That's protection working, not a fault. Give it 15–20 minutes on the bench.

Don't run a pack to dead if you can avoid it
Swapping when the tool starts losing speed is easier on the cells than draining every pack to shutdown every time.

Store at partial charge, indoors
For packs going on the shelf for weeks, store around half charge and out of the truck. A hot cab in July and a freezing one in January are both hard on lithium cells.

Keep the terminals clean and dry
Stone dust and slurry are conductive when wet. Blow the rails out with the pack off the tool, and never charge a pack that's visibly wet.
What else the pack runs
The platform isn't only drills and saws. Once you own packs, they power the parts of the day that aren't cutting.

Work lights, and a USB adapter with built-in LED that turns any 20V pack into a portable charger and a light.
Cleanup
Handheld and stick vacuums for the shop, the truck cab and the slab job — same pack, no cord to drag.

Already own Makita batteries?
Most shops already own batteries. The WorCraft ONE FOR ALL adapter lets a Makita 18V/20V slide-style pack run WorCraft 20V tools, so you can put WorCraft tools to work before you've built up a set of WorCraft packs.
What to know before you use one. The adapter is sold separately and is a bridge, not the intended long-term setup. A WorCraft pack on a WorCraft tool is the combination the tool's electronics are designed and tested around, and it's what we recommend for full performance and runtime. Using another manufacturer's battery does not void your WorCraft warranty — but damage demonstrably caused by an incompatible power source is not covered. WorCraft cannot speak to how another manufacturer treats their own battery warranty when their pack is used on a third-party tool. Check with your battery's manufacturer.
Common questions
Do all WorCraft 20V tools use the same battery?
Yes. Every tool in the WorCraft 20V lineup accepts every pack in the ONE FOR ALL platform, and every pack charges on the same charger. There are no sub-platforms and no tools restricted to one pack size.
Does a bigger battery make the tool more powerful?
Not in the way most people mean. Voltage is the same across the platform, so a 4.0Ah pack doesn't add torque a 2.0Ah can't deliver. What it adds is runtime, and steadier performance late in a heavy cut — a larger pack sags less under sustained high draw. For grinders and mixers that difference is real; for a drill driving screws it mostly just means fewer swaps.
Which pack should I buy first?
A 4.0Ah, in almost every case. It's the pack that runs every tool in the lineup acceptably. Then buy a second pack before you buy a second tool — a rotation matters more than another tool sitting idle for lack of a charged battery.
Can I use my existing Makita batteries with WorCraft tools?
Yes, with the WorCraft ONE FOR ALL adapter, which fits Makita 18V/20V slide-style packs. It's sold separately. See "Already own Makita batteries?" above for what to know before you do.
Why did my tool slow down or shut off mid-cut?
Usually the pack or the tool protecting itself — thermal cutoff from heat, or overload protection from a bound blade or a stalled bit. Let it cool, check the pack's charge and the terminals, and reduce the load. Full walkthrough: Tool runs slow or cuts out.
How long do the batteries last?
Lithium packs lose capacity gradually with charge cycles and heat exposure, not on a fixed calendar. The habits above — cooling before charging, avoiding full discharges, storing indoors at partial charge — are what separate a pack that's still useful in year three from one that isn't.
